Washington or Bust

My kids had been counting down the days until we flew to Washington for months. Here we are all situated on our flight!

Well we just kept sitting there, and Asher was not happy just sitting. They announced we had a small mechanical issue that was being looked at, and the flight attendant told me she would guard the door and to just let Asher walk up and down the isle. She was the best!

Soon she was motioning for me to come up front and bring my camera! Asher was in love with all the buttons there were to push. Here he is with our pilot!

Well the excitement soon came to an end, when they announced the mechanical issue was going to take longer then expected to fix, and those going through to Spokane, would miss their connection in Chicago and we were asked to get off the plane. So we all got off the plane, hoping they could somehow redirect us to Spokane. Well this was the only flight Southwest had going to Spokane that day, but they had the exact same flight 24 hours later. we grumpily booked it, and had them book us a hotel in Louisville for the night so we could come back the next day.

Well the next day David woke up feeling awful, like puking his guts out awful. We made it back to the airport and after some Dramamine and lots of trips to the bathroom, he was finally feeling better as we boarded the plan!

Since we were delayed an entire day, we didn't get to go on our anniversary date as planned, but David's sister, Tiffany, still took the kids for the night so we could go out to dinner and to our engagement spot!

funny story, as the sun was going down we were shivering so much. we were freezing, even though it was still about 80 degrees outside. HAHA, we apparently need humidity to keep us warm!

David surprised me with this anniversary band, that I absolutely love, and still can't stop staring at! He also bought himself a new wedding band. He's lost the previous 5! Even though I didn't want to spend my 10 year anniversary in Moses Lake at my in laws house, it was still a great day with the love of my life and my best friend!
