The beginning of June we farmed our children out to friends in Kentucky and hopped a plane to South Carolina to find a house! It was a successful trip and we put an offer on a home that was still under construction. We are excited for it to be done and be able to move in!
This is the loft, that will be turned into the toy area!
This is the sitting room in the master bedroom. I think we are going to put on some sliding barn style doors and create a nursery. No I am not pregnant, but you never know what could happen! HA
The neighborhood pool!
A cool street in Aiken.
Downtown Aiken is super charming. David and I went down Thursday evening and hit the farmer's market. There were tons of families out. We even saw a goose on a leash. Anyway, we walked through the market, stopped and had sushi on the balcony while listening to live music. It really was the perfect evening!
I made David sit down on this bend with me and we had our "house hunters" moment. That is my favorite HGTV show afterall. We had narrowed our choice of houses down to two. We counted to three and both said which house we wanted. We said the same house!!! We called our realtor the next morning and put in an offer!
Here is the outside of the house. The next day they put in all the landscaping, so it has grass now!
This picture should have been at the top, but here we are at the airport kid free!! Since a week later we would be flying to Washington with kids on our 10th wedding anniversary, we counted this trip as our anniversary get away. The best part was David's company was paying for everything!!!!
We took advantage of being kid free, and Friday evening after we signed all the paperwork for the house we headed to Columbia to the temple. It was the perfect ending to the day!
We drove around a lot and found this cool lake with lots of nice swimming areas/beaches! We are going to take the kids there this weekend!
