We left Utah Saturday morning and were planning to drive the straight 24 hours to get home. Well we got about 6 hours away into Wyoming and the freeway was closed. So we stayed the night in Cheyenne, WY and drove 18 hours the next day. With the overnight stay the trip home seemed to take FOREVER. We pulled into our driveway about 6:00 am Monday morning.
It was basically freezing cold our entire drive. This was Saturday, the roads were snowy and the temperature says 1 degree. brrrrrr. At one time it said -4. YUCK! Sunday and Monday we had perfect roads, but still freezing cold temps.
We were all pretty excited to be home. We came home to a pretty much spotless house, and then we unpacked our car...
It really was a great holiday season spending it with all of our family and close friends! We are all looking forward to warmer weather around here and summertime now!
I also need to point out that our kids were seriously the best travelers ever. Asher never cried for longer then a minute at a time, and really he only whined if he was hungry or tired. The older two just watched their shows, played on their kindles, or slept. I am counting it as one of our greatest blessings this Christmas!!
