We got up bright and early Sunday morning to make it to my Cousin, Miranda's, mission homecoming talk. All of our kids were having a hard time with the time difference. Asher fell asleep in my arms and Bridger fell asleep under the bench. We then went to my parent's ward sacrament and Bridger fell asleep on the bench basically the entire meeting. haha. I think we were all a bit tired!
We stayed with my Sister and her family and I caught the cousins all snuggled on the couch watching a show one afternoon! They loved all the cousin time!
Asher was basically a bulldozer bully when it came to Grace. haha. He was constantly stealing her binky and bottle and just generally trying to pick on her. I think her face says it all here! He also left some scratch marks trying to rip off all her pretty girly accessories. oops.
Monday evening the Boyce clan scheduled a Family Home Evening and we did the Nativity. Cambree and Bridger had other plans already with Grandma woozie and Maxwell so just Asher got to participate. But he was the cutest little lamb there ever was!! He even crawled across the set right on que!
Mom's Birthday is on Christmas Day, but we always celebrate it on Christmas Eve. This year we did a lunch because we were getting together that evening at Grandma's with the rest of the Byington clan that was in town. (all of Terry and Elizabeth's kids were in town too) Jorden planned a frozen party and it all turned out so cute. Mom was super surprised and my sister is super talented and made this cute Olaf cake!
After we got home from Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas Eve we all opened our jammies. All the kiddos got matching owl jammies!
When I was little my Grandpa use to set up a trap in his backyard to catch Rudolph. I would always be super sad about it, so my mom would help me make a warning sign to warn him of the trap. Well this year Grandpa decided all the great grandchildren were old enough to play along again, so he dusted off his ol' trap skills and built a reindeer trap. The kids were pretty worried that he was going to get him!! This might have been my favorite part of Christmas!
This was Christmas morning when the kids went out to check the trap to see if Rudolph was caught! They were pretty relieved to see the trap empty and that Santa had indeed made it to the house!
Bridger wanted hexbugs for Christmas. Santa and Grandma Woozie came through and made all his hexbug dreams come true! Cambree asked for a tablet and Santa delivered a Kindle Fire for both Cambree and Bridger! Asher got a baby sing along tablet as well!
By the time we ate breakfast and everybody showed up to open presents Asher was beyond tired. He thought his little tablet was pretty cool, but he acted scared to death of his Dumbo. he screamed and swatted it everytime we even tried to show him. So off to bed he went and I opened all his presents. (why did I even wrap them? It was pointless)!
After his nap he got this fun batmobile car from Woozie and Papa. He loved sitting on it, and we figured out that he didn't know how to get off, so we set him on it often to keep him contained. ha! He has now figured out how it all works and can get on and off just fine...darn!
We all got super duper spoiled and my kids got way too many presents. We are thinking this next Christmas to do one Santa present a stocking and go someplace warm to spend the Holiday's. We will see if it happens! It really was fun to be together with our families though, it had been a few years for us. We ate lots of yummy food thanks to my Brother, Treven, and his Traeger he got for Christmas! We were also able to see the Fackrell's a couple times, and a few friends that were in town for the holiday's as well. We also celebrated my birthday with my family Sunday evening before our Monday morning departure to Utah.
