Christmas Part 2 - Traveling

Thursday night December 18th we loaded up our Van and our kiddos and hit the road for Washington. We got onto the freeway about 8:30 pm.

We were stocked with food and movies, and toys, and pillows and blankets, oh and don't forget new comfy clothes for all of us!
We basically only stopped for gas. Everytime we had to fuel up I would make everyone go in and go potty. We did make two rest area stops. mostly because Asher had a couple blowouts and needed a sink a bath. (oops, probably too much milk)!
There's always a Monkey on my back! We call him Bridger!
We made one other stop and that was at Mt. Rushmore. The kids, especially Cambree, were pretty excited to see it. It was about 30 minutes out of the way, but we decided it was totally worth it in the end even though we only stayed maybe 15 minutes. haha! But David and the kids had never seen it and we were almost the only ones there so the kids ran and ran and ran for a solid 15 minutes!

Cambree really wanted a picture of her holding it up, this is the best we could get!

We had great roads all the way until Montana. Then it got a little snowy and foggy. But nothing to horrible so we trekked on! We had a cooler in the car so we didn't even have to stop anywhere for food. All three of our kids slept a solid 10 hours in the car both nights. Nobody ever complained, and Asher never cried for longer then maybe 1 minute at a time. and really he never really full on cried. just squealed when he wanted something, or was ready to sleep. He took pretty good naps as long as we were driving. We rolled into Moses Lake about 6:30 Saturday morning. We had spent a total of 37 hours in the car! I cannot tell you how many times David and I looked at each other in awe that our kids were ANGELS. they were seriously PERFECT travelers! I've been counting it as one of our huge blessings lately! Granted none of us wanted to jump back into the car anytime soon after, but we made it safe and we were all super excited to see family and spend Christmas with them all!!
