Cambree has been so blessed with finding great friends everywhere we have moved. She instantly fell in love with these two crazy girls and they have been best little buds ever since. We got together for brunch and a little gift exchange before the hustle and bustle of the holiday's became too crazy.

David and I attended an ugly sweater party for work. I found these gems at walmart just begging to be purchased! It helped that they were really cheap. I thought for sure David would win some sort of prize, but alas there are uglier sweaters out there if you can believe it! Also yes, that sweater was found in the men's department!
We of course purchased a tree and the kids had fun decorating it. This year it was Asher's turn to place the star on top! Or at least be in the picture as the star was being placed, ha!
We have an elf on the shelf named Donald that comes to stay at our house every Christmas. He sends reports to Santa each night if the kids are being good or bad. Well this year Donald had to give Santa a pretty bad review one night and was told by Santa he couldn't come back to our house for a few days because the kids were on the naughty list. He was then told he could only come back if the kids actually made it back on the nice list. I tell you what, my kids have never been so well behaved. They did not like being on the naughty list and did every chore asked, and some without being asked, because they wanted Donald back and they wanted off the naughty list! It was a perfect idea on my end if I do say so myself!
Anyway, Donald brought the kiddos these matching elf Jammies one night. We had the kids put them on one evening and then loaded them in the car for a secret little excursion.
We drove to Louisville and went to their lighted underground Christmas light display. The kids were all sorts of confused about where we were going and at one point we were stopped in line waiting, but you couldn't see anything but a few trees with lights on them. We told them we came to see the lighted trees and then we were going home. Cambree was a little upset and said that was lame. But then when we came around the corner and she saw the lights to the entrance of this underground mine she perked right up! The kids loved it and so did David and I!
We went to Tennessee one weekend in December and hit up the Bass Pro Shop to see the real Santa Clause!
The reason for going to Tennessee was to go through the Temple and say goodbye to this awesome girl, Janelle Graves. She is now serving a mission in Nicaragua!
We also got dressed up in our Christmas best for church!
We then packed up the car and drove 37 hours to our Christmas destination. Those adventures soon to come!
