The kiddos were up bright and early, before the pool even opened. I took them for a walk to check out the hotel and pool while the other adults got a little more sleep!
The Hall's came prepared for breakfast! We had homemade waffles with homemade syrup! How's that for an awesome hotel breakfast!
While we waited for everyone to get changed David led the kiddos in some morning exercises! What you don't jump on your bed every morning to get yourself going for the day?!
The kiddos loved these little stationary jet skis.
My kids were in heaven here. seriously they loved every second of it...until it was time to get out and get changed, then chaos ensued! Cambree loved all of the big slides, and Bridger was pretty content with this little slide and walking back and forth in the water of the kiddie area!
Preston pretty much lived right here!
Tanner did NOT want to go on any of the slides. But the dad's, mostly David, somehow got him on every last one. This picture pretty much sums up his feelings he had for David that day!! HAHAHA
This is where he would rather be. The first time he went across I wasn't sure he could do it. i mean he could barely reach the ropes to start out and he is only 5, and the older kids who were going before him were falling like crazy. He was a pro, he did this over and over and over and I don't think he fell once!
This is when chaos started happening. heading to the showers to change...he wasn't a fan!
The Hall's! We love these guys, it was so fun to go on a trip with them. Cambree still asks to go back to the Great Wolf Lodge! And she loved that she had sleep overs with her friends. (yep we all stayed together in the same hotel room both nights, but i will say they were both big hotel rooms, especially the one at the lodge. it had two bathrooms and two rooms)!
After we left the lodge we went and found some late lunch and did a little shopping in the outlets. Then we headed over to Seattle to the Double Tree where we were staying our 2nd night.
Here are the kiddos at the 2nd hotel trying to put away the hide abed!
Ok so somebody had ordered room service and the empty tray was sitting outside their room for the maids to pick up. Bonnie and I noticed these mini condiment bottles and decided we just HAD TO HAVE THEM! But look aren't they cute. So we did a little run by and grabbed them! The hubbies thought we were CRAZY!
This is how the kiddos slept. and surprisingly they slept pretty well!
The next day we headed downtown Seattle. The Hall's have a children's book about a bunch of attractions in Seattle and so we hit up some of the places in the book that we thought the kids would be excited about.
We took a fairy ride!
Bridger found this dog on the ferry and insisted he take it for a walk!
We also hit up Pike Place Market. The gum wall!
The Golden Pig
This is the guy at the fish counter handing out samples. This is the sample I fed to my baby boy Bridger. This was also the sample that he proceeded to puke everywhere just minutes after this picture. Yeah we didn't last long at the Market. Bridger puked all over the ground (twice) right in front of the fish counter, and if you know Pike's Place you know the fish market is right at the beginning of the market and draws a pretty big crowd. yeah talk about embarrassing!
somehow while I was cleaning up Barf the Hall's got a picture taken with the fish guy...
The hammer man. (I don't know what this is called, but it was in the book so we got a picture with it)!
We got back to the car and got Bridger some clean clothes and drove to Yakima where we ate dinner at Miners. Bridger slept on the floor of the restaurant and we made everyone step over him. Poor guy was so tuckered out from a long, busy, fun weekend! We got home pretty late but were still planning on going to Church Sunday morning, until i woke up sicker then a dog with no voice. yeah I had a man voice for a good two weeks and we all pretty much suffered from some sort of congestion and yucky yucky cough! And of course friends that vacation together also share sicknesses together so I'm pretty sure we went a good while before we were all 100% healthy again!

An adventure it was indeed! It was fun to have someone to hang with though. :-) haha! Maybe I will go and do my blog post about this too, since I'm on the blogging bandwagon lately! I am excited for our trip to Moses Lake with you guys, and think that you're onto something with the idea of a kid free vacation together, or better yet, a cruise where we can drop the kidlets off!!!
we went to great wolf lodge last year and did the same thing. one night there and then off to seattle. it was fun and it looked like you guys had a good time too.
